Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Klasso. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you use our mobile and web applications, and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
2. The Data We Collect About You
- Identity Data: includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier.
- Contact Data: includes billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone numbers.
- Technical Data: includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, and device identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Personal Data
We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
- Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.
- Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
- Where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.
4. Camera and Microphone Usage
To comply with Google Play Store policies, we explicitly declare how we use sensitive device permissions:
- Camera & Microphone Access: Our application requires access to your device's camera and microphone exclusively to facilitate live video calling features (e.g., parent-teacher meetings and virtual classrooms).
- Data Processing: We only access the camera and microphone when you actively initiate or join a video call. The video and audio streams are processed in real-time to facilitate the call.
- No Recording or Storage: Klasso does not record, store, or share your video or audio streams with any third parties. Once the call is terminated, no camera or microphone data is retained by our servers.
5. Account Deletion and Data Retention
We provide users with the ability to request the deletion of their account and associated personal data. When an account is deleted, personal information (such as name, email, and authentication records) will be securely removed from our active databases. We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for (e.g. required legal logs).
How to request account deletion:
- Open the Klasso application and log in to your account.
- Navigate to the Settings or Profile tab using the bottom navigation menu.
- Scroll to the bottom and select the Delete Account option.
- Confirm your choice. Your account and associated authentication data will be permanently deleted.
- Alternatively, you may contact your school administrator directly to have your account removed from the system.
